Land monitoring in Europe (Corine)

This page provides information about  the ETC/ULS daily work linked to the Land Monitoring activities in Europe.

Following each of the links, you will find more information about this topic and a description of the main activities done by us.

Three are the working lines:

  • CORINE Land Cover. Description of the status of the last version, 2006, of the main DB of Land Cover / Land Use at European Level.
  • Eionet Action Group on Land monitoring in Europe (EAGLE). Eionet group established to analyse the future of the Land Monitoring in Europe from short and long term perspective
  • Copernicus. Copernicus, previously known as GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security), is a European system for monitoring the Earth
  • Urban Atlas. Urban Atlas datasets from the reference year 2006
